Jamie is a committed Paralegal currently completing his Juris Doctor at Bond University, where he has developed a particular interest in commercial law, dispute resolution and litigation
Jamie brings a commercially minded and practical approach to his work, with a strong focus on clear communication, careful analysis, and achieving positive outcomes for clients.
During his studies, Jamie has been recognised for his academic performance through inclusion on the Executive Dean’s List and receiving the First in Class award for Family Law.
Before commencing his legal career, Jamie worked in the financial technology sector in client-facing commercial roles. This experience developed his ability to understand clients’ objectives, communicate complex issues clearly and approach problems with a practical and strategic mindset. His background in negotiation and relationship management continues to inform the way he approaches legal work and client interactions.
At Moore Lawyers, Jamie assists across a range of matters and enjoys the opportunity to work closely with experienced practitioners while developing his legal and advocacy skills. He is particularly interested in understanding the commercial and personal considerations underlying a dispute, rather than viewing legal issues in isolation.
Originally from Canada, Jamie completed his undergraduate studies at Western University, where he also played varsity lacrosse. His experience competing at a high level of sport helped develop the discipline, resilience and team-oriented approach that he now brings to his professional life.
Outside of work, Jamie enjoys staying active, playing golf and spending time outdoors on the Gold Coast.
